FARM TOURS

Peek-a-Boo-Pig.jpg

We are pleased to open our doors (and farm gates) to the public and allow our valued customers to see firsthand what it takes to run a Certified Organic Farm!

Tours are available Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm, and run for about 2 hours. You will start in the organic gardens and orchard located beside our house, and then help feed the pigs with all the rogue weeds growing outside of their pen! Pigs love grass and even eat stinging nettle, lambs quarters and pigweed. Toss em over the fence and watch them come over to see whats going on lol. We then walk across the fields to the latest cattle grazing area and hopefully watch Patrick or Duke move the cattle to their new grazing pen. Patrick is officially #TheCowWhistler because all it takes is a whistle and they start mooing, and happily follow him wherever we need them to go! Watch a video HERE. The best time to see the cows being moved is between 2pm-6pm. We will talk about the effects of livestock on soil health, and how Intense Rotational Grazing is helping to build up our pastures and improve their density.  Children will love the small fuzzy Highland babies and may even get to pet one! They are naturally curious, but sometimes shy.

Cost is $40 per person, Families of 4 is $75. You can email, call or text us to set up the time that works for you, and we will coordinate with you to pick the time that works for us both. We are at the Farmer's Markets on the weekends so during the summer months the tours are held on weekdays only. After Thanksgiving and before Victoria Day we offer weekend tours, YEAR ROUND! We hope to see you soon!
